The late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba ( Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III,before his demise spoke Exclusively with his Director of Media and Publicity, BODE DUROJAIYE, on the traits of Chief Habeeb Okunola, the Akosin of Yorubaland, the MD/CEO TILT Group of Companies Limited, and Founder of Habeeb Okunola Foundation.
The Paramount Ruler told his media aide to embargo report on it till the day of reckoning.
Alaafin said he consulted the Oyomesi, the king makers and traditional cabinet, before selecting Mr. Habeeb Okunola.
According to him , the chieftancy title, Akosin of Yorubaland is interpreted as the first person in Yorubaland to perform an extraordinary feat worthy to be celebrated.
“The prestigious title which is deeply rooted in the origin of the old Oyo empire, bestows its holder enormous legitimate authority across all the Yoruba Kingdoms”.

Alaafin : ” Chief Habeeb Okunola, the Akosin of Yorubaland is respectful. Young people appreciate being treated with respect and admire those who treat them and others that way. He demonstrates selflessness, democratic, and non-prejudiced to views. The business mogul is optimistic and creative, as he inspires others with an upbeat, optimistic outlook on life”.
Oba Lamidi Adeyemi said Chief Okunola sees the bright side in difficult situations and can find creative solutions to their problems.

” Akosin has a sense of style, flair, and confidence. He possesses a quality which is hard to pin down, but which attracts followers and inspires people to action.
