Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will coronate Prince Samuel Adebayo Adegbola as the new Eleruwa of Eruwa on Saturday, June 28, 2025. According to the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, this appointment is a testament to the government’s commitment to preserving Eruwa’s rich cultural heritage and promoting unity among its people.
The coronation ceremony, confirmed by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo, symbolizes the community’s collective commitment to honoring its historical roots and traditions. Prince Oyelade encourages everyone, including residents and stakeholders, to participate in the ceremony, which is expected to strengthen communal ties and usher Eruwa into a future of growth and prosperity.
Governor Makinde’s administration has been actively involved in traditional institution matters, having coronated 11 kings and 40 baales, a record in Yoruba traditional institution history.
