The ancient town of Eruwa in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State witnessed a momentous occasion today as Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore was officially turbaned as the new Chief Imam of Eruwa.
The ceremony, held at the Eruwa Central Mosque, drew a large crowd of dignitaries, religious leaders, community members, and well-wishers from far and wide. The event, steeped in rich Islamic tradition and cultural heritage, marked a new chapter for the Muslim community in Eruwa.
Alhaji Abdulkareem Abdulsalam Olore is widely recognized for his profound knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence, his unwavering piety, and his years of dedicated service to the propagation of Islamic values. Prior to his turbaning, he had served in various capacities within the Eruwa Muslim community, earning the respect and admiration of residents for his humility, wisdom, and commitment to justice.
Speaking at the turbaning ceremony, Alhaji Olore expressed his profound gratitude to Allah, the Eruwa Muslim community, Eleruwa of Eruwa, HRM Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Oyo state government and Ibarapa east local government for entrusting him with such a significant responsibility. He pledged to uphold the tenets of Islam, foster unity among Muslims, and work towards the spiritual and moral upliftment of the entire community.
