Alaafin Owoade, a  Paramount Ruler who rises above the culture of mediocre, says Oloro of Oro Kingdom

The Oloro of Oro Kingdom in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara  State, Oba  Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye  Olufayo 11 , has observed that character of the  Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola AkeemOwiade 1, s remarkabes his ability to learn things fast are also  noticeable, hence  the unfettered love of the people and beyond for the Paramount Ruler  is indeed amazing .

Speaking on Thursday during a solidarity visit to the Alaafin at his boroboro residence in Oyo town, Oba Olufayo 11  said the Monarch has done so much for the people, especially the Yoruba, outside the shores of his home town.

He ( Alaafin) has been helping the people and encouraging them before he ever thought of gunning for the vacant royal stool.  His level of responsibility is higher than that of the average person””.

The Oloro of Oro led Baales and Chiefs from eleven communities that constitute Oro Kingdom on the visit.

The Oloro of Oro went further, iAlaafin Owoade is  educated, literate, enlightened, civilized, dynamic,
current, lively and not only open to new ideas and suggestions, but not conservative, myopic and parochial .

“” Oba Owoade is knowledgeable in the history and customs of his people and  sympathetic to the traditional religions, festivals and rites of his kingdom.

“”That is why he continues to enjoy the respect, obedience and reverence from his people because his authority and power actually come from the traditions of the people.

“”This could be attested to on how Alaafin Owoade put aside all activities in far away Canada where he resides, traveled down to his country home, Oyo town to honour the ancestral calling and appreciate the people for their wide acceptance””.

Alaafin Owoade, he pointed out   is a man of candour who says what he thinks, and means.

The Oloro of Oro however, along with the Baales and Chiefs on the entourage  congratulated the Alaafin of Oyo and his family on the Ascension if his forefathers throne

Oba Olufayo II expressed satisfaction with the selection and approval of Prince Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo, describing the development as a divinely orchestrated event that marked the dawn of a new era in Yoruba traditional leadership.

While commending the Oyo State governor, Engineer Oluwaseyi Makinde and the Oyo  kingmakers for conducting a seamless and transparent selection process, Oba Olufayo II noted that the Alaafin Owoade,  being a well-traveled and highly connected individual, possesses the requisite wisdom, vision and determination to uphold and strengthen the historic legacy of the Alaafin stool.

In his response , the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1,  posited that  in today’s polarized world, populist values and societal expectations often clash;  but leaders or rulers must ensure their dreams are rooted in purpose, inclusivity, and shared values.

” A compelling dream should express people’s ambition, and contributions to the society and aspirations”.

The Royal  Father submitted that “”without action, dreams are nothing more than ideas, as drive is the disciplined determination to manifest the  vision into reality”.

The Paramount Ruler who described the Oloro of Oro  as a redoubtable,  trustworthy and  conscientious monarch , said the duo were age- long friends with robust relationship.

He called for more bilateral relationships in order to foster progress and development for the people.

Alaafin also appreciated the Baales and Chiefs from eleven communities  who accompanied the Oloro of Oro on the visit  and prayed God for journey mercies back to their respective destinations.
